Love is in the air, so we thought we would take a look at the most romantic spots at sea to enjoy a romantic dinner for two.
The Wake - Virgin Voyages
Nestled at the back of Virgin's beautiful ships with incredible views of - as the name suggests - the wake, you'll find this excellent steak house. The setting itself inspires romance, as the floor-to-ceiling windows offer beautiful views of the ocean spray trailing behind you as you dine, perfect for watching the sky turn from dusky pinks and oranges, to a bright inky blue.
All the restaurants are included in your cruise fare when you sail with Virgin Voyages, but they also offer one or two upgrades to accompany the main menu, including the well-known aphrodisiac, oysters. Other stand-out dishes include the clam chowder and the filet mignon, followed by the signature dessert, The Wake, an indulgent chocolate number, perfect for sharing.
Red Ginger - Oceania
The whole aesthetic of Red Ginger oozes romance, this sultry space is tastefully decorated, with softly sparkling chandeliers, and furnishings of red, gold and sleek black wood. As you enter the restaurant there is a relaxing waterfall to greet you, all these things come together to provide the perfect ambience for a dinner for two.
The exquisite Asian cuisine is also a delight for the senses, full of warming spices and aromatic flavours. The menu offers an impressive amount of choice, with several fish and seafood dishes to choose from, as well as options for meat or vegetarian eaters.
Dinner on The Edge - Celebrity Cruises
Celebrity's Edge Class vessels all have one thing in common - the platform that sits over the side of ship, nicknamed 'The Magic Carpet' as this unique space can travel between decks, offering a versatile place for guests to enjoy. But the one extra special offering this space provides is 'Dinner of the Edge.'
Get ready for a one-of-a-kind al fresco dining experience that satisfies your taste buds, your eyes, and your sense of wonder all at the same time. As the Magic Carpet makes its way up the side of the ship, it reaches the very top level and then stops for you to enjoy dinner with the ultimate view. It isn't available every day and is very popular, so make sure you book in advance.
Sabitinis - Princess
