New Ships Launching in 2022

Beccy Miller
There are new ships-a-plenty arriving in 2022 - here are a few we're excited about.

Norwegian Prima

The first of the Leonardo class ships, NCL’s Norwegian Prima is jam-packed full of new and exciting innovations. A new, three-storey theatre/nightclub, a three-level racetrack and the fastest freefall drop dry slide. Will you be brave enough?

Valiant Lady

The pandemic firmly put the brakes on the launch of Virgin Voyages into the cruise market. With the first of the Virgin ships, Scarlet Lady, only launching in August, Valiant Lady will make waves in March, offering short cruises from Portsmouth and longer ones to catch some winter sun in the Canaries. She'll then head to Barcelona which will be her home port for the summer. All ships in the fleet are for adults only.

Celebrity Beyond

The third ship in Celebrity Cruises revolutionary Edge class launches in April 2022. Celebrity Cruises aim to bring a new era of luxury travel to the wider cruise market. Celebrity Beyond will offer 32 distinct food and beverage experiences and will also feature Edge class favourite, the Magic Carpet.

Carnival Celebration

Carnival Cruises celebrates its 50th birthday next year, so it's fitting that the next ship to arrive will be christened Carnival Celebration! The second ship in the Excel class, she will also feature the Bolt rollercoaster as well as a wide range of amazing dining options.

Royal Caribbean Wonder of the Seas

Wonder of the Seas will claim the title of the world's biggest cruise ship. With the all-new Playscape - an underwater world with slides, climbing walls and games - plus firm favourites like the Flowrider, she'll definitely be one to book.

MSC World Europa

MSC welcome a new era of ship design, with the first LNG-propelled ship in the MSC Cruises fleet, driving the cruise line towards the goal of zero-emissions operations. She'll feature a never-seen-before Y-shaped aft, a 104 metre long promenade and The Spiral - a dry slide spanning 11 decks.

Discovery Princess

The sixth and final ship in the fleet's Royal class, Discovery Princess will continue to deliver an array of innovative experiences. Expect world-class dining options and the usual spectacular entertainment from its state-of-the-art theatre.
